The University Grants Commission on recommendation of the Expert Committee has sanctioned an ‘on account’ grant of Rs. 26,37,900 as block grant for the research project in Humanities and Social Sciences. The sanctioned amount is a part of total allocation of Rs. 42,77,400 as informed by the Undersecretary of University Grants’ Commission in his letter to the AMU Registrar, Prof. V. K. Abdul Jaleel.
The Principal Investigators of the eight major projects under the above sanction are Dr. B. L. Bhadani and Dr. Hasan Imam, Department of History, Dr. Arif Nazeer, Department of Hindi, Dr. Nighat Khan and Dr. Mohammad Azam Khan, Department of Economics, Dr. M. Amirullah Khan and Dr. Raashid Nehal, Department of English and Dr. Mohd. Nafees A. Ansari, Department of Political Science.
