AMU Decides to open-up Marks details

Aligarh Muslim University has decided to provide the obtained marks and rank in the competitive tests to the information seekers. Further, a carbon copy of OMR sheet will be provided to the candidates along with the question booklet and the key of the 7 questions will be uploaded as soon as the result of the competitive test is declared. This was decided in the meeting of admission committee held here today under the chairmanship of the Vice Chancellor Prof. P. K. Abdul Azis. The University will implement the decision in the admission test to various courses including Medical, Engineering and Management. According to Controller of Admissions, Prof. Mohammad Irfan, the University will start a new P. G. Course in Islamic Banking in the Business Management Faculty from the next academic session. The University will also open two new Centres. It will now conduct the admission tests at its Lucknow and Hyderabad Centres while the test at the Pune Centre is called off. It was also decided in the meeting that admission to Diploma in Engineering courses will be completed through a single test conducted by the University. The University has also slightly increased the Admission Test fees.

AMU VC Prof. P. K. Abdul Azis Visiting Thrissur To Review Progress

*ALIGARH August 4:* Prof. P. K. Abdul Azis, Vice Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim
University is visiting Thrissur, the cultural capital of Kerala to attend
the meeting convened by the Government of Kerala to review the progress
relating to setting up of the Off-Campus Centre of Aligarh Muslim University
in the Malappuram district.
The Minister for Revenue and Minister for Higher Education, Government of
Kerala will also be present in the meeting to be held on August 6, 2009 at
Thrissur. The Vice Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University has been especially
requested to participate in the meeting. Other officials who will be
attending the meeting are Dr. Anwar Jahan Zuberi, Vice Chancellor, Calicut
University, the Director of Collegiate Education, Dr. Kancheria P. Isaac,
Director of Technical Education, Dr. Vijay Kumar, Special Officer
(Principal), Government Engineering College, Thrissur and Shri Ali Askar,
Assistant Special Officer, Government Engineering College, Kannur.
Prof. N. A. K. Durrani, Media Advisor will also be participating in the
meeting and will make a PowerPoint presentation.
The AMU Vice Chancellor, Prof. P. K. Abdul Azis will also attend the
Academic Council Meeting of the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth and
Development which will be held on August 10, 2009 at Seriperumbudur, near
Chennai.
