ALIGARH, September 1: Dr. Asad Ali Khurshid, Senior Lecturer, Department of Persian, Aligarh Muslim University has been nominated for President’s Award for his outstanding contribution in the field of Persian language and literature. This Award is given by the President to the young scholars of not more that forty years. Dr. Asad Ali Khursheed is the first such young scholar in the Department of Persian who has received the prestigious award. Dr. Khurshid’s two books, “Bastanul Ikram” and “Ahd-e-Khaljian-e-Hind Ki Farsi Mansurat” have received wide acclamation. In addition, more that twenty research papers of Dr. Khursheed have been published in prestigious journals.
