A delegation from Libya comprising of Dr. Othman Ibrahim A. Abubaker, Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Shaukia, Dr. Ahmad Mansur, visited Ibn Sina Academy of Medieval Medicine & Sciences, Aligarh, on 24th February 2009, and had discussion at length to exchange academic dialogues between the two countries particularly in the field of medieval medicine and sciences.
Dr. Othman Ibrahim Abubaker (Counsellor, Education and Training), People's Bureau of the Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, promised to cooperate in the areas of researches done on Ibn Sina, carried out in Libya and to share academic work in progress and to jointly hold an international conferences on the aforementioned studies. On behalf of Ibn Sina Academy, Prof. Syed Zillur Rahman, presented a set of recent publications of the Academy on Arabic & Persian Manuscripts.
The delegation also entered their remarks of appreciation for the academy in the "Visitors Book". On this occasion, Janab Ibn Saeed Khan of Chattari, Dr. Abdul Latif, Er. Mohd Azhar, Dr. Syed Ziaur Rahman, Mr. SH Zahid Jamal, Mr. Nafees Ahmad, Mr. Mohd Ayub, etc. were present.
