Two-day National Conference on ‘Reconstruction of Past

ALIGARH, February 13: The Department of Museology at the Aligarh Muslim University is organizing a two-day National Conference on 'Reconstruction of Past: Scope and Limitations'. Mr. Kalyan Chakraborti, Member Secretary, Indira Gandhi National Center for Arts will be the Chief Guest and AMU Vice Chancellor, Professor P.K. Abdul Azis will preside over the inaugural function on February 14, 2009 at 10.30 am at the Conference Room.

Professor S Asif A Naqvi, Chairman, Department of Museology informed that this National Conference would explore the scope and limitations re-imagining and reconstructing the past.

Professor Naqvi said that the basic objective and rationale of the Conference is to have an interdisciplinary dialogue to share information of recent advances in different fields of study related with reconstruction of past and prepare a guideline for museum professionals in reconstruction of past in their displays and its interpretation.
