Thursday, May 21, 2009..International THE NEWS By our correspondent HYDERABAD: Noted educationist, Professor Syed Qavi Ahmad, died here on Tuesday at the age of 77. He was laid to rest in Latifabad Unit-9 graveyard on Wednesday afternoon. He is survived by two sons and a daughter. A large number of his students, colleagues and dignitaries attended the funeral and Namaz-e-Janaza, which was offered at the Masjid Aqsa. The known educationist was also a noted economist and analyst. He was prominent among the participants of various programmes on economic affairs of Radio Pakistan, Hyderabad. He was born in Allahabad, India, and studied at the Aligarh University.
