Botany Scholar Mr. Tanweer Azam received Young Scientist Award

Mr. Tanweer Azam, Research Scholar, Section of Plant Pathology and
Nematology, Department of Botany, A.M.U., Aligarh has been conferred
upon the prestigious "Young Scientist Award-2009" by Bioved Research
Society, Allahabad. The Award was conferred in the concluding session
of "11th Indian Agricultural Scientists and Farmers' Congress 2009",
held at Iswar Saran Degree College, University of Allahabad.
Mr. Tanweer Azam has obtained graduate (2002) and post graduate
(2004) degrees in Botany form Department of Botany, A.M.U., Aligarh.
Presently he has been working as "Research Assistant" in a project
on "Phytoremediation" funded by Council of Science and Technology,
Lucknow, (U.P.), under the supervision of Dr. Hisamuddin, Principal
Investigator of the project as well as Assistant Director of Coaching
and Guidance Center (CGC), Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh.
Mr. Azam has research experience of more than four years and has
seventeen research papers to his credit published in Indian and
foreign journals of International repute. His field of specialization
is Plant Pathology with super specialization in the management of
root-knot nematode Meloidogyne incognita using biocontrol agents and
botanicals of some medicinal plants.
