The Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, on the initiative of
Dr. Ambedkar Foundation, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, New Delhi, under the aegis of Dr. Ambedkar Chair of Legal Studies & Research, Department of Law, A.M.U., Aligarh is set to organize Dr. Ambedkar Memorial Lecture-2008-09 on 7th March, 2009 at 09:30 AM in Kennedy Auditorium under the Presidentship of Prof. Dr. P.K. Abdul Azis, Vice-Chancellor, A.M.U., Aligarh. Shri Hansraj Bhardwaj, Hon'ble Minister of Law & Justice, Union Govt. of India will deliver the Lecture on theme: "Personal Laws and Uniform Civil Code: Constitutionality, Reality & Legitimacy". Mr. Justice S. Saghir Ahmad, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India will be the Guest of Honour. Prof. M. Shabbir is the Director of the Programme.
